May 17th, 2008 was a memorable day for the tiny graduates of DAV Montessori School (DAVMS) as they walked across the stage to receive their school graduation certificates. Decked in graduation caps and gowns, the poise and confidence of the first grade and kindergarten students was a sight to behold, suggesting great future success and accomplishments and pointing to the strong foundation that this unique school provides. The venue is Royal Albert Palace and the attached Hotel Best Western in Fords (near Edison), New Jersey, USA. Please note that early bird registration is valid only if you register by July 1st. VEER SAVARKAR

Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was born in the village of Bhagur, near the city of Nasik, in Maharashtra. He was one of four children – his brothers Ganesh (Babarao) and Narayan, and his sister Mainabai.  His family was of Hindu and Marathi , his ancestral roots and heritage would be an important influence on Savarkar. Descending from a long line of landlords and scholars of Sanskrit, the Savarkar family was well-respected and both parents encouraged and inculcated a love of learning in all their children.
